Hydroplaning
A rain intensity of 7 inches/hr causes hydroplaning for a car traveling
at speed of 50 mi/hr on traditional pavement. It does not cause any
problem for car traveling on the ITALGRIP® System.

Car behavior on curves
A simulation program of a car traveling along the same curve shows the
car runs off the road in case of Traditional pavement, while on ITALGRIP®
System it safely travels along the road, both on dry
road or wet
road.
Pavement protection
Weather conditions greatly influence Portland cement and asphalt concrete
pavement behavior. The ITALGRIP® System with its
resin film protects both types of pavement from age related deterioration.
Hydrocarbons
Traditional pavements are adversely affected by road oils, fuel spills,
and other petroleum products, such as kerosene, naphta, etc. The ITALGRIP®
System, on the otherhand, is not affected by hydrocarbons,
and, indeed, protects the underlying pavement.
Ice formation
On Traditional Pavement ice forms a thin layer over the surface, creating
a hazardous condition for drivers. The , ITALGRIP® System
because of its texture, prevents the formation of the ice layer resulting
in much safer roads, even in wintry conditions.
